The focus of the forum will be to introduce Google Glass to the Museums and the Web community and have a broader moderated conversation about wearable technology in museums. Following a short demonstration of Google Glass and its functionality, forum moderators will address museums’ preparing for visitors wearing devices like Glass on a structural and policy level, examine how such technologies can be applied to museum work by staff, and explore how aesthetics will change with Google Glass and other wearable technology in the future.
The Google Glass demonstration and moderator remarks will be approximately one half hour leaving the remaining time for open discussion from the conference floor and online participants via Twitter and Google Hangouts On Air.
