Collecting conservation data done right
Matthijs van der Meulen, Q42, The Netherlands
Preservation, restoration and research are the core tasks at the Rijksmuseum. Over the years, loads of research data was documented and collected. But what lacked was a tool that would help the researchers store the data in a user-friendly way and find important relations between different research.
The Rijksmuseum decided to team up again with the people responsible for their award wining website and try to create a stunning web application from scratch.
The application was built in under three months. In this lightning talk we will focus on the decisions made by the team to create a product that is easy to use and loved by the end users and how you can incorporate a similair decision making process in your own projects.
