“Refining Gyeonggi Province with Culture and Arts”

The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation has been dedicated to inheriting, preserving, and further developing cultural heritages and culturing Gyeonggi Province to improve the living standards. Gyeonggi Province is Korea’s cultural hub and treasure trove.

Traces of Paleolithic cultures at the northern end of the province, sites from the Goguryeo Dynasty, the spirit of Joseon Era gentry and Silhak (Practical Learning) and Nam June Paik’s video art are the pillars that represent Gyeonggi Province’s rich cultural assets.   The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation is at the center of it all.

Our foundation manages the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum and the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, which have inherited the history, culture, and art that hail from the province. Our objective is to recreate and reinterpret the radiant history and culture from the region into contemporary contents and to assume the role of being a forward-thinking, complex center of culture and arts.2https://mw2014.museumsandtheweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/21-300x204.jpg 300w, https://mw2014.museumsandtheweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/21-441x300.jpg 441w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" />

Issues with the current Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation website

– Lack of a consistent identity.

– Repetitive login messages and processes when making reservations, differing user interface by institution.

– Compatibility issues with smartphones and difficulty in sharing content due to image font and the use of Flash.

– Affiliate institution websites are based on varying platforms, which increases management expenses and the need for extra manpower.

– Increasing media contents, especially video, results in higher server costs. This causes clashes with mobile devices, and raises sharing issues

– Difficulty in applying new web technology.
